Born in Pennsylvania, Jake Davidson studied at Calarts in Los Angeles before moving to New York City. His films and installations question the basis for innovation - considering de-accelerated processes in their wake. Recent screenings include Anthology Film Archives New York, University of California Berkeley, and the 18th Festival des Cinémas Différents et Expérimentaux de Paris. He’s exhibited at institutions such as Center for Electronic Arts Bergen and MoMA PS1, New York. In 2018 he organized a film series with the Goethe Institut in Ramallah on the German filmmaker Harun Farocki. Davidson was a resident at Taipei Artist Village, Corsicana Artists and Writers Residency, and Fondazione Antonio Ratti. He is the co-author of Cloud Chambers, a book that considers the social influence of vapor. Since 2013 he's been living between New York and Palestine.
