
Julián García Long
胡利安·加西亚·朗(Julian García Long)1988年生于阿根廷巴塔哥尼亚,导演、编剧及视觉艺术研究者。他毕业于阿根廷国立艺术大学、法国敦刻尔克-图尔宽高等艺术学院(Ecole Supérieure d'Art / Dunkerque-Tourcoing)及法国国立当代艺术工作室(Le Fresnoy)。他拥有以影像为核心的跨学科背景,目前正在比利时鲁汶大学卢卡艺术学院(LUCA School of Arts, KU Leuven)攻读艺术学博士学位。曾入选2020年柏林电影节天才训练营。
作为多部纪录片编剧(《幽暗之河》[Shady River]、《她渐行渐远》[Ella va de largo]、《1900年的巴塔哥尼亚》[Patagonia 1900]),其作品曾亮相马赛国际电影节(FIDMarseille)、里斯本纪录片电影节(Doclisboa)、墨西哥国立自治大学国际电影节(FICUNAM)、马德普拉塔电影节等国际平台。其执导的短片《莫赫达》(Moheda)与《猿猴的绝望》(La desesperación de los monos)相继在Fipadoc、里加国际电影节(获评审团特别提及)、Short Waves、北京国际短片联展、维也纳短片节、格拉斯哥短片电影节、Festifreak等影节展映。目前正致力于多个以巴塔哥尼亚森林为背景的去殖民化地景项目。
Born in 1988 in Patagonia, Argentina. Julian García Long is a director, screenwriter and visual arts researcher. He is a graduate of the Universidad Nacional de las Artes (Argentina), the Ecole Supérieure d'Art / Dunkerque-Tourcoing, and Le Fresnoy, Studio National des Arts Contemporains (France). With a multidisciplinary background, always orbiting around the image, he is pursuing a doctorate in arts at LUCA School of Arts, KU Leuven (Belgium). He participated́ in the Berlinale Talents BA (2020). Screenwriter of several documentaries (Shady River; Ella va de largo; Patagonia 1900) presented at FidMarseille, Doclisboa, FICUNAM, Festival de Mar del Plata, among others, his short films as director, Moheda and La desesperación de los monos, were presented at Fipadoc, Riga IFF (jury mention), Short Waves, Beijing, Vienna Shorts, Glaswog, Festifreak, among others. He is currently developing several decolonial landscape projects set in the forests of Patagonia.
