Katharina Pichler, born in 1995 in Linz, lives and works in Graz, Austria. Alongside her studies in the "Time-Based and Interactive Media" program at the University of Art and Design Linz and her subsequent master's degree in Sound Design at the University of Applied Sciences Graz and the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz, she has been involved in various art and film projects in different roles since 2014. Since 2019, she has also been working as a sound designer for numerous television and cinema productions.
Her artistic work explores the realm of audio- visual perception, driven by an intrinsic interest in challenging filmic hierarchies that prioritize image over sound, while also rethinking and repurposing traditional norms of montage and narration.
