Marta Vaz (Lisbon, 2001) holds a degree in Cinema from the Escola Superior de Teatro e Cinema, specializing in Editing. While at the school, she directed and edited films, including the documentary Rubab, which was screened at film festivals in Portugal and won the Cinema Novo Award at the Porto/Post/Doc festival in 2023. She is currently working as a camera operator in documentary film. Monologues for M is the last film she made during her cinema studies, a film essay — format she is currently interested in exploring.
