Semyon Gritsa was born in 1997. He graduated from the Film Studies Faculty of The Gerasimov Institute of Cinematography. As a film critic he contributed to "Iskusstvo Kino" and other film magazines. He also worked as the first creative assistant of director Alexey German Jr.
