After completing a Master’s in Engineering and working six years in manufacturing, I (Sudarshan Sawant) pursued my passion for storytelling at the Film and Television Institute of India, Pune, specializing in Sound Recording and Design. As a multilingual sound designer, my work has been featured at several national and international film festivals, earning recognition for excellence in sound.
Transitioning into filmmaking, my debut documentary Lost Songs of Sundari explores Mumbai’s fading connections with its waters and history. Through my films, I seek to capture the fragile beauty of human connection and the worlds we often overlook — creating stories that invite viewers to reflect on their own relationship with place, memory, and change.
