无尽的悬搁
虹吸实验电影单元的三组影片向我们展示了何为创造力的炼金术：当我们将创作者的主体加入一个要求赋形的质料，骤然浮现的作品似乎总会指向一系列层层嵌套、彼此映射的悖谬，只能由感性的逻辑所统辖。
之所以这些电影令人目眩，因为它们总在影像定义外延的边缘试探，通过无尽的悬搁，拒绝既有范畴的归化，不断谋求对观众思维和知觉经验的拓展。恰如影片《PP乐园II-火龙果教朝圣之旅》（PP Land II - Pilgrimage to Dragon Fruit Buddhist，2023），以戏谑的姿态展示了去理智主体的世界建构，试图在离心的生存处境中重新定义人类的角色；《创造的循环 变奏2》（CYCLES OF CREATION Variation 2 ,2023）、《告别仪式》（A Farewell Ritual，2023）、《我没有去摩洛哥》（I Didn’t Go to Morocco，2023）借助生成式人工智能悬搁了传统的作者概念；《让我告诉你一个秘密》（Let me tell you a secret，2023）则质疑了对象化的语言，转而投向生成的言语……影像的炼金术士们在电影诞生一百二十余年后重新回到影像本体的问题，凭借对形式和议题的高度敏感，践行着一种双重还原：一方面，一个个去中心化的、永远处在差异化进程中的世界在银幕上生成；另一方面，一种影像的形而上学得以成立，电影逐渐暴露出它的原初状态。（写作：李博文）
Endless Suspension
The three sets of films in the Siphon Experimental Film Special Screening show us the alchemy of creativity. When we add the subject of the creator to a material that requires shaping, the works that suddenly emerge seem to always reveal mutually mirrored and multi-level nested paradoxes. Only perceptual logic can govern them.
These films are dazzling because they push the limits of image definition. With endless suspension, they defy the existing categories and seek to expand the audience’s thinking and perception. “PP Land II - Pilgrimage to Dragon Fruit Buddhism” shows the world construction of de-intellectual subjects in a joking manner and tries to redefine human beings in a centrifugal living situation. “CYCLES OF CREATION Variation 2” ，“A Farewell Ritual” and “I Didn’t Go to Morocco” suspends the traditional concept of authorship with generative AI. “Let me tell you a secret” questions the objectified language and embraces the generated language... Over 120 years after cinema’s inception, the image alchemists revisit the concept of the image itself. By possessing acute sensitivity to form and concerns, they perform a double reduction. On one hand, they generate decentralized and ever-evolving differentiated worlds on the screen, and on the other, they establish a metaphysics of images, revealing the authentic state of film.
