Chris Berry is Professor of Film Studies at King’s College London. In the 1980s, he worked for China Film Export and Import Corporation in Beijing. His academic research is grounded in work on audio-visual media of the Sinosphere.
Books written and/or edited include China on Screen: Cinema and the National; Postsocialist Cinema in Post-Mao China: The Cultural Revolution after the Cultural Revolution; Chinese Independent Cinema: Past, Present, and a Questionable Future; Taiwanese-Language Cinema: Rediscovered and Reconsidered; Film and the Chinese Medical Humanities; Chinese Film Festivals: Sites of Translation; Routledge Handbook of East Asian Popular Culture; Public Space, Media Space; The New Chinese Documentary Film Movement: For the Public Record; and Electronic Elsewheres: Media, Technology, and Social Space. He has served on juries for numerous film festivals, including the Bangkok Film Festival, Singapore International Film Festival, Hawai’i International Film Festival, Busan International Film Festival, and the Golden Horse Awards (Taipei).
裴开瑞,伦敦国王学院电影研究系教授。上世纪八十年代,他曾供职于北京的中国电影输出输入公司。他的学术研究聚焦于华语文化圈的视听媒介领域。编著作品包括:《银幕上的中国:电影与民族》《中国独立电影:过去、现在与未卜的将来》《台语电影:再探与重思》《电影与中国的医学人文》《华语电影节:译域之所》《劳特里奇东亚大众文化手册》《公共空间,媒介空间》《中国新纪录片运动:为公众存档》《电子异域:媒介、技术与社会空间》。他曾担任多个国际电影节评委,包括曼谷电影节、新加坡国际电影节、夏威夷国际电影节、釜山国际电影节及台北金马奖。
