WANG Shen (b.1991, Hebei, China) is a director living in Beijing and Amsterdam. He graduated from the Communication University of China and Beijing Film Academy, and currently studying at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht in Holland.
His first documentary feature Lady of the Harbour was nominated for the Best Dutch Film Award at IDFA 2017. His second documentary feature A Marble Travelogue was nominated for the Best Dutch Film Award of IDFA 2021 and won numerous other festival awards, it was also shortlisted by Melbourne International Film Festival, Visions du Réel in Switzerland, Copenhagen International Documentary Festival, Hot Docs in Toronto, South Taiwan Film Festival, Art of the Real by Film at Lincoln Center, among others.
回族，1991年生于河北承德，生活于北京和阿姆斯特丹。本科毕业于中国传媒大学，研究生毕业于北京电影学院。目前正于荷兰乌特勒支艺术学院攻读纯艺术硕士。
纪录长片首作《芳舟》提名阿姆斯特丹纪录片电影节最佳荷兰影片。第二部纪录长片《石史诗》提名阿姆斯特丹纪录片电影节最佳荷兰影片、海南岛国际电影节金椰奖，获平遥国际电影展制作中单元向上评审奖、冰岛雷克雅未克电影节最佳纪录片奖、伊拉克杜胡克电影节最佳纪录片奖、意大利贝尔加莫电影节特别提及奖，并入围墨尔本国际电影节、瑞士真实影展、哥本哈根纪录片电影节、多伦多纪录片电影节、台湾南方影展、纽约林肯中心真实艺术节等四十余个国际影展，并于西班牙艺术影院发行。
