Adam Zheng Yuan, originally from Guangdong, is currently pursuing an MFA in Directing at Columbia University. With a deep passion for cinematic storytelling, he began his journey in documentary filmmaking and is now evolving toward a more personal narrative style. His recent work draws from childhood memories, employing long takes and observational aesthetics to explore the blurred boundaries between childhood and adulthood. Adam’s films have been selected for festivals such as the Cinequest International Film Festival and the New York Short International Film Festival, and have been featured in Arrow Factory’s New Voices program. As an emerging filmmaker, he continues to learn and experiment, striving to share nuanced reflections and singular perspectives through his lens.
