Born in Beijing, China, Agnes Meng is a documentary filmmaker based in Portugal. She graduated from DocNomads Erasmus Master and is now a PhD student at Universidade Lusófona. She has a background in Ethnography and Documentary filmmaking. Her first short documentary, “Histories of Wolves”, was screened in film festivals worldwide and won 7 Best Short Documentary awards. It was eligible for the Oscars in 2019. Agnes is now focusing on her trilogy documentary project about folk stories and past lives in Douro, Minho, and Trás-os-Montes, the northern regions of Portugal.
