Zifei (Fae) Sun is an independent artist and filmmaker based in Los Angeles and Guangzhou.
Sun works with digital media, 16mm film, thermal imaging, and archive footage. Her practice probes mutable boundaries between repetition and rupture, human and non-human, prophecy and memory, appearance and meaning, and the traces of horror, absurdity, and tenderness that surface in the shifting zones.
She holds a BFA in Sculpture from China Academy of Art and an MFA in Film/Video from California Institute of the Arts.
