Felix Bartke worked independently in the german film industry, and collaborated with various artist duos before taking up his diploma studies at Academy of Media Arts in Cologne, Germany in 2017 with Prof. Matthias Müller, Prof. Pia Marais and Prof. Alejandro Bachmann. In 2020 he formed a collective with Nils Ramme, which so far has resulted in the short films "Cruiser" (2022) and "Herkules" (2023). "Cruiser" has been shown internationally and broadcasted( International Shortfilm Festival Oberhausen; St. Louis International Film Festival, Missouri, Landshuter Kurzfilmtage (Germany), FECI Bogota, WDR-shortfilm night) and was awarded the "Queer- and Genderprice 2022" by the "blicke Filmfestival" (Bochum, Germany). In their experimental documentary films, which make use of different film materials, they deal with cinematographic stereotypes, constructions of masculinities and class.
