Gevorg Galstian (b.1993, Novorossiysk) is an artist working in film, video, and installation, film editor. He pursued architectural studies in Moscow and then earned a Master's degree from The Paris School of Architecture. Transitioning to filmmaking, he graduated from the St. Petersburg School of New Cinema in the directing department and is now refining his craft in editing at FAMU in Prague. His work focuses on experimental and documentary strategies to explore themes of intimacy, permanence, memory, and recollection, as well as analyzing language and semiotics. He works with Super 8 and 16mm film, self-processing and montage using a table. He teaches montage and conducts open tabletop film editing workshops for students.
