Filmmaker and photographer.she worked as a photojournalist in China for 12 years. Her feature film Smog Town had its world premiere in the First Appearance competition section at IDFA (Amsterdam) in 2019 and won Best Feature Documentary at the Millenium International Documentary Film Festival and the DOKU International Film Festival. Chinese Forgotten Daughters, which she co-directed, premiered at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Her short film The Battle for Blue Skies won Best Short Documentary at the 9th China Documentary Academy Awards. Her photography series Chinese Adoptees at Home In America was shortlisted for the Three Shadows Photography Award and Inter Art Center and Gallery Photographic Art Award.
