坎昌·阿夫恰雷(Kanchan Avchare)是一位隐喻创作者与叙事设计师,她将废弃物、神话与进化科学“破解”为原始隐喻,以粉笔勾勒个体与环境之间的权衡,指向互联与包容的关系。她于1990年出生于印度中央邦贾巴尔普尔(Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh),在孟买接受肢体戏剧训练,并在此过程中开始写作诗歌。她广泛阅读与写作,将哲学、进化生物学与神话相融合,以创造感官层面的体验。她发展出的表演方法受印度传统艺术形式如卡塔卡利(Kathakali)、库迪雅塔姆(Kudiyattam)及婆罗多舞(Bharatnatyam)启发,并因此于2019年获得INLAKS奖助金。疫情期间,她致力于场域特定剧场创作,并获加尔各答创意中心(Kolkata Centre for Creativity)艺术奖学金。她的独角戏《幸福标签》(Happily Tagged Ever)在浦那(Pune)Expressions Lab中获奖。她的短片《宇宙原子:大宇与小宇》(The Cosmic Atomic, Brahmandam Pindandam)是她首次涉足电影创作,将戏剧与诗歌的元素融入视觉与听觉媒介。该片正在国际影展巡回放映,于2025年10月在希腊雅典国际实验电影节进行欧洲首映,并将于2025年11月在北京国际短片联展进行亚洲首映。

Kanchan Avchare is a metaphor creator, narrative designer hacking waste, mythology, and evolutionary science into raw metaphors, drawing with chalk the trade off between an individual and environment—towards interconnectedness and inclusivity.
She was born in 1990 in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She got trained in physical theatre in Mumbai and also picked up poetry on the way, She reads and writes a lot, her creativity lies in bringing philosophy, evolutionary biology and mythology together to create a sensorial experience.
She has developed performance methods inspired by traditional forms like Kathakali, Kudiyattam, and Bharatnatyam, for which she received the INLAKS Grant Award in 2019. During the pandemic, she worked on site-specific theatre, for which she received the KCC (Kolkata Centre for Creativity) Art Fellowship. Her solo play, 'Happily Tagged Ever,' won an award in Pune Expressions Lab.
She sets her first foot in film making, with her short film, The Cosmic Atomic, Brahmandam Pindandam, bringing the elements of theatre and poetry in visual and audio medium. The film is doing its festival journey with its European premiere in Greece in October, 2025 in ‘International Experimental Film Festival’, Athens and Asian Premiere 亚洲首映 in ‘the Beijing International Short FIlm Festival in November, 2025'
