Keifer Nyron Taylor is a London-based photographer and filmmaker from Birmingham. His short film The Tobacconist was supported by BFI NETWORK, premiering at BFI London Film Festival 2025, International Film Festival Rotterdam 2025 and screening in Kurzfilm Festival Hamburg’s International Competition. The film is a continuation of his commitment to documenting the imperial spectres and changes communities face in Britain and beyond. His storytelling evokes an urgency and social necessity with an equal emphasis on form.
This extends to photography with Between Today & Tomorrow, mixing candid images and visceral portraiture, spotlighting people in Brixton’s overlooked street corners. He has also gone onto photograph musicians, such as Wunderhorse, Wu-Lu, Joe Armon-Jones, Speakers Corner Quartet and Unit 137 Sound System. Such work has appeared in Dazed Magazine, NME and The Guardian.
His short film Lloydie, The Boy from St. Thomas (2019) screened at Barbican’s Chronic Youth Festival’s shorts programme and Rapport Film Festival 2024.
