Maite Alonso

玛伊特·阿隆索

Since 2018, he has coordinated the Film and Technology cultural project, an open group for research on the creative use of technology in cinema at Medialab, Tabakalera. In 2018–2019, he completed a postgraduate program in Archival Studies at the Elías Querejeta Film School.
He is the co-founder of Zine–Lab, an independent film laboratory dedicated to creation, production, experimentation, and screening, based in the Basque Country.
A multidisciplinary creator, he is also a member of the collective Hiru, together with artists Jaime de los Ríos and Juan Manuel Estévez (aka Manglano). In their practice, they transcend the established conventions of cinematography, subverting the values of a capitalist, binary, sequential, and codified society.

Maite Alonso Cuadrado (BA in Humanities from the University of Deusto and MA in Space Design and Production from UPC – Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, Barcelona) is a filmmaker and cultural management consultant.
She has collaborated with various artists, musicians, and filmmakers in the creation of collective works. Her film Sueños de Viernes (2024) has been screened at international film festivals such as D’A and Cinéma du Réel.
She is the co-founder and active member of Zine–Lab, an independent, artist-run analog film laboratory. Alongside her artistic practice, she also works as a mediation technician at UNRWA Euskadi.
