Mariana Mendivil (Hermosillo, Sonora, 1995) is a filmmaker, collage artist, and stop motion animator. She graduated from the National School of Cinematographic Arts (ENAC-UNAM) as a filmmaker and from Bande à Part in Barcelona, where she studied a diploma in screenwriting. She won the Best Mobile Device Cineminute Award at the 7th Metropolitan Cineminute and Brief Narratives Festival. She was a grantee of the Artistic Creation and Development Stimulus Program of the Sonora State Fund for Culture and the Arts (PECDA-FECAS) 2017-2018 and the National Fund for Culture and the Arts (FONCA) for Young Creators in the Video category 2022-2023. Her analog collage work has been exhibited in international exhibitions such as the Bibart Biennale Internazionale in Bari, Italy (2021), as well as in collective exhibitions in various states including Oaxaca, Baja California Norte, Michoacán, Mexico City, among others.
