Marianna Rantou is a multidisciplinary artist and performer based in Athens, Greece, working across theater, film, and cross-disciplinary projects. She has acted in theatrical productions, feature and short films, TV series, and experimental performances, collaborating with independent companies.
The Land of Wanting More is her first solo mixed-media performance, transformed into a short film. The project explores themes of female sexuality and societal taboos, using an experimental approach.
Beyond performing, Marianna has extensive experience in production management, communications, and assistant directing for mixed-media performances. She is also actively involved in organizing cultural festivals and curating immersive artistic experiences. In 2021, she founded LibrArt Performing Arts Ensemble, dedicated to innovative, research-driven projects. Another notable work is Artwalk: How to Make Memories, an annual project connecting cultural and historic places around Greece through performance, photography, music, dance and art—using hiking as a bridge between them.
