Marie Fages is a french filmmaker, art director and visual artist. She has been living and working in Rome, Paris, Berlin, Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro, and Marseille.
In her films, Marie Fages challenges traditional narratives through experimental fiction-making, exploring the fantastical dimensions of some places, persons, elements she encounters. Analogue cinema is her main field of formal exploration. Marie’s films have been screened at more than 40 international film festival such as FNC, Festival des Champs Elysées, 33th Tehran International Short Film Festival.
She's an active member of the Laboratório da Cave (Lisbon) and Labo L'Argent (Marseille), two collectives of filmmakers working with handmade analog cinema.
