Matthew Wolkow (1992, Montreal). Driven by a curiosity for knowledge, Matthew Wolkow is a Quebecois filmmaker. He creates cinema that reveals the people he meets and the stories that emerge. Situated between essay and experimentation, rubbing shoulders with reality, imagination, words, music and sensorialities, his work benefits from this hybridity where form is approached as resolution. In October 2021, the Cinémathèque Québécoise screened his first retrospective.
