Pola Kapuste is a writer and visual artist from Berlin, Germany. Trained as a journalist and scriptwriter, she speaks German, English, Spanish and French.
After completing her Spanish Philology degree, specialising in Latin American literature, at Freie Universität Berlin, she worked as a journalist in Mexico City and Guadalajara, Mexiko.
When the pandemic began, she returned to her hometown, where she trained as a scriptwriter. She has since worked on numerous films, series and music videos as a writer, producer or co-director.
In 2021, she lived and worked in Marseille, France, for about around a year, studying French and beginning to work on her first self-directed short film.
Movies became the medium that allowed her to combine imagery and words, and thus her two forms of expression. In 2024, she completed her third short film during a residency in Taranto, southern Italy.
