Qi Zhang, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts,and the School of Journalism and Communication in Tsinghua University, and is currently studying non-fiction and experimental imaging at the School of the Arts in Peking University. His representative work "Single Cycle" was shortlisted for the 3rd Pingyao International Film Festival, the 44th Sao Paulo International Film Festival in Brazil, the 15th Youth Chinese Film Week, and the 69th Mannheim Heidelberg International Film Festival in Germany, and won the Rainer Werner Fassbinder Reward Best Screenplay; "Voyage au bout de la nuit" won the Best Creative Award in the Venture Capital Unit of the 23rd Shanghai International Film Festival.
