After studying film and musicology, Stéphane Rizzi worked on the collective film "Clara," based on a screenplay by Armand Gatti and supervised by Philippe Garrel. Since then, abetted by passionate actors and crewmembers, he has been developing a rigorous body of work characterized by a dry lyricism.
His films – produced alone or by others, and shot in Super 8, 16mm, 35mm, or digitally – combine narrative elements with a more experimental touch and feature characters that shift between embodiment and allegory, resulting in works of great expressive power. They are screened regularly at international festivals.
