Thanut Rujitanont was born in Bangkok, Thailand, in 1993. He does animation as a thinking process and a daily chore to contemplate fields of his interest. His first animated film TEUN won the golden prize at 18th Digicon6 Asia Thailand. He won Nef and Ciclic Animation Prize at the Annecy International Animation Festival in 2017 in France. In 2021, he founded his independent animation studio Graphy Animation, which has actively expanded animation culture in Thailand and abroad. He holds his master’s degree in animation from RE:ANIMA European Joint Master from Belgium, Finland, and Portugal. Invited as a visiting scholar in 2023, he is currently a PhD candidate at Griffith Film School, Australia. His second film The Announced Tragedy won the Animation Competition Honorary Mention at 27th Thai Short Film & Video Festival in 2023. His third film Rose Rash had its world premiere in the Annecy International Animation Festival 2024.
