TJ COLLANTO is a filmmaker based in Quezon City, Philippines. His work has screened at Glasgow, Uppsala, Odense, Go-Short Nijmegen, National Gallery Singapore, among others. He was mentored by Davy Chou and Pimpaka Towira in 2021 through the Objectifs Short Incubator and received the SGIFF SEA-SHORT 2021 grant for April Mud. Since completing his MA in Filmmaking at the London Film School, he has been collaborating with his peers on cinema and installation projects that explore the genesis and consequences of migration; himself a product of one. While working regionally in film, he continues to expand his visual practice through 3d environments using Blender. He is a part of the film collective, Slowly Moving Images.
