Yotam Ben-David grew up in a village near Jerusalem. His films, often inspired by the lives of people surrounding him and his own biography, seek the sublime and poetic in the banality of everyday life and in the often painful political history of his native country. His short and medium-length films as well as the films he had edited have been selected and awarded prizes at numerous international festivals including Berlinale, Cannes, Sarajevo, Visions du Réel, FIDMarseille, IndieLisboa and others. He currently lives in Paris, where he is in the process of financing his first feature film, the project was selected to the Cinéfondation atelier at the Cannes Film Festival.
