Ziya Lemin (1997, Antwerp) graduated in 2023 with a Master's degree in Audiovisual Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent. She is a documentary filmmaker with careful attention for the mundane. Recently, she has become very interested in ways in which the camera could be a mediator in human and nonhuman relationships. This serves as an inspiration for the PhD-project she is currently working on at LUCA School of Arts and KULeuven reconceptualizing educational film by using the camera as an instrument for study.
