After an unsympathetic gang threatens to evict him, Uncle Phua journeys through a desolate town in Singapore to look for his missing cat. As hope begins to fade, he experiences a series of strange encounters with the haunted memories of the town. With nowhere to go, he finds himself conceding to the futility. A futility in a world of perceived progress.
