Sophie, a teacher, plays a game of telephone with her students. She is shocked when the game results in a startling miscommunication and starts to slip into a surreal space: a strange photoshoot with one of her students, a miniature version of a grocery store. At home, she feels alienated from her boyfriend, and they both go to sleep after a failed attempt at watching porn together. She climbs deeper into this surreal space, and after a failed attempt at talking to her mother, she chooses violence as a means to an end.
