Ipoh, a mountain town situated west-northern Malaysia is home to LEI (11) until her mother decides suddenly to move to the capital, Kuala Lumpur, for a better future. Lei’s best friend, ZE (11) helps her to escape home for the night as a form of protest to the mother. As they arrive at Ze’s secret hideout which is a valley, they are surrounded by lush nature and hollow uninhibited caves of dead limestones. Lei hears whispers through the wind, the ray of sun, water drops and the wall texture of caves that come alive at a blink of an eye. Confronted with timeless elements as such, Lei’s fear of being forgotten and uncertainty to the future are temporarily compensated.
