"Onychophagia" is composed of memory fragments and narrative monologues, showing the artist's non-linear reflection on physical act of "nail biting" through a linear recalling way - the nail-biting behavior gives the body neurological feedback, influencing the generation and expression of consciousness over time, consciousness in turn recoils from the body's perception of the nail-biting behavior, fermenting into an embodied relationship with interactions through unpredictable factors faced during different growth stages. By revealing complicated and multidimensional factors, such as childhood, family of origin, and identity awareness, a reflection is made on patriarchal ideology that shapes body shame and squeezes the space for self-growth.
