Is home a feeling, a memory, or a place?
In this short documentary, the filmmaker travels back to her home country, Russia, to accompany her father on his first return visit to the house he grew up in the town of Klintsy. Klintsy was affected by the Chernobyl accident in 1986.The filmmaker’s father sold his family house in Klintsy some years ago and has not visited this place since then. This film looks at the consequences of the disaster through the lens of depopulation and emptying space, highlighting the dynamic world of survival that remains.
