This project attempts a poetic approach to the everyday and at the same time magical phenomenon of the sun. The short duration of the film coincides with the eternally recurring presence of the sun. On the one hand, the protagonist of this film is seen as a source of life and energy, but on the other hand, she also appears to us as a threatening danger in the hot summers of recent years. In “Under Rays” the sun is reflected in the contrasts of ambivalent images between pleasant, bizarre and dangerous impressions from artificial light to daylight, from dark gray to color frenzy, from vitamin D to skin cancer, from climate change to energy transition and from glare to blindness.
