Clara Jost studied film editing and directing at ESTC (Lisbon) and holds a master's degree in Audiovisual Arts from KASK (Ghent, Belgium), which she attended as a Calouste Gulbenkian fellow.
Her works usually take their starting point in everyday elements, exploring their historical, emotional, or cultural layers. Her short films have been screened in festivals and shows around Europe and the Americas.
In 2024, she released two short films and her first installation piece.
She currently also works as a video editor and writes monthly chronicles in Au Hasard, Cinema, an ongoing project that explores the points of (dis)encounter between video art and cinema, hosted by the website À pala de Walsh.
