Eri Saito

斋藤英理

Eri Saito is a Japanese artist based in Tokyo. Born 1991 in Fukushima. Focusing on video, she creates works themed on such invisible and uncertain dynamics as memory and cognition. Her recent exhibitions include Visitor Cue (Yamanaka Suplex annex building MINE, Osaka, 2023), how to make friends (Art Center Ongoing, Tokyo, 2023), and Until It Gets Dark (Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum, 2021). Her video works have been shown at EXiS (Korean Film Archive, Seoul, 2024), Prismatic Ground (Anthology Film Archives, New York, 2024), and Yebisu International Festival for Art & Alternative Visions (Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, Tokyo, 2022), among other places. Second prize at the first e-flux Film Award held in 2024.

斋藤英理(Eri Saito),日本艺术家,现居东京,1991年生于福岛。她的创作以影像为主,聚焦记忆与认知等隐秘而不确定的动态。近期参展经历包括“Visitor Cue”(大阪山中Suplex分馆MINE,2023)、“如何交朋友”(东京Art Center Ongoing,2023)以及“直到天黑”(东京艺术博物馆,2021)。其影像作品曾在多地展映,包括EXiS(韩国电影资料馆,首尔,2024)、Prismatic Ground(纽约选集电影资料馆,2024)和惠比寿艺术与另类影像国际节(东京摄影艺术博物馆,2022)。2024年,斋藤英理荣获首届e-flux电影奖二等奖。
