Born in the Basque Country in 1988, he graduated in Arts from the University of the Basque Country and furthered his studies in visual arts and filmmaking at the Art and Design University of Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Universidade de Vigo (Galicia), and the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Catalonia). He has participated in renowned programs like IDFAcademy and Berlinale Talents. His works have been featured in several exhibitions and have won awards or been screened at festivals such as DOK Leipzig, IDFA, Punto de Vista, Málaga Festival, Tirana IFF, Guadalajara International Film Festival, Beijing International Short Film Festival, Oberhausen, and Filmadrid. He also worked as an editor on Frederico Lobo's film When the Land Runs Away, which is included in this year's BISFF. Some of his previous films, such as The Interior City, Orbainak (The Scars), and In Ictu Oculi, have also been shown in previous editions of this festival.
