Kaiwen Ren's recent works focus on distance, collective anxiety, and personal memories through 16mm/digital filmmaking. Born in Chongqing, China, he now lives in Guangzhou and Los Angeles, and is currently an MFA student in the Film/Video program at California Institute of the Arts.
